    I think you're talking about the watch thread button. Its not literally a "button", its just a hyperlink, similar to the "Reply" or "Like" buttons, except its on the top right of the thread. Clicking it will ensure you receive alerts (usually emails, unless you've changed it) when the thread is replied to/updated etc.
